why austria of all places :p? Im thinking of staying here in canada or going to australia after i graduate. australian women are amazing  |
got the residency, passport, et al. my grandfather is austrian, my grandmother is german. dad was born here, but lived in germany for a while, amongst a lot of other places in europe. must be the reason why i hate this place so much. some few, very cool, things about this, but then the lot of suckage drowns everything else.
but yah, Ivand stole my moving to berlin idea. i'll be in vienna for a bit, then hop over to berlin. :p
(i wish. and it shall happen!) |

This thread title is stupid.
I want to go back and say that I've accomplished everything I've set out to do with flying colors. Turns out I am a very motivated individual! I built my own greenhouse(and am still putting modifications on it :) ). I have acquired and grown many interesting enthnobotanicals, and am continually getting more. In fact, I'm expecting some in the mail any day now. :) |

Ever since I lost my partner in artistic crime back in 2003 I was really searching for someone else.
I met a kick ass person last night in Basel and well I feel like we'll be working together somehow. At least I hope so
otherwise more concretely for 2006 goal which I achieved:
kidney transplant. That's all I wanted. |

I'll always have my day-to-day goal of growth and change/not becoming stagnant. That's really what keeps me motivated to accomplish my larger goals.
Last year my goals were to go back to school (check), quit smoking/become more active/start making healthier lifestyle choices (check), and to help my mom out more (check).
Now that I'm back in the routine of school, my only goals are really just to keep motivated to do well and get good grades. I keep telling myself I want to procastinate less, and it works for a while, but then I fall back into my old habits. So I'm going to try harder to stick to good study habits.
My other goal for the year is to get a scholarship through the Sick Children's hospital. They will pay the rest of my tuition if I sign a contract to work for them for 2 years after I graduate. Soooo I gotta get that done.
I would also like to be selected to go on a school trip to provide health care in an underdeveloped country. That means I have to work hard in school so I can get a good reference (only the top students can go), and save my own money to pay for it.
And ummmm that's about it! I might join a kickboxing class or something. I need to work on not being so lazy as well! |

well. my 'rents say Austria is too expensive. they're paying an assload for my college here, over there it's practically free. i need a car here, over there no. i can get a job here (cuz i live the in' far from the city and have no car) and i would get one there.
basically, here, they pay for:
- food
- uni
- car eventually (in the works)
over there:
- no uni
- no car
- no car insurance, gas, etc.
- food. uni gives me lunch, so that's settled. i at least won't starve to death.
- rent. kolpinghaus will give me a room for 347euro/month i think.
- over there i get job.
the only problem atm is that to enroll in college over there, i have to have a very high level in german. my teacher told me i can graduate the program here, and i will still lack. the universities offer 3 month intensive programs, practically guaranteeing the learning of the language. cost 400euro, and i will probably need money to survive those 3 months, as i doubt i can get a job with little german knowledge.
the main thing for me is i think it is a waste to pay a lot of money for a crappy college here, when i could be not wasting time here, and not wasting money, and getting a better education. and DR sucks, too.
so yah, i'm basically saving up (which is going really bad as every attempt i make to get a job is thwarted somehow, and the damn 2am clubbing laws ED ME and all other DJs up when it comes to making money from gigs) to make the move myself. it's gonna be one hell of a journey, i can assure you that.
any austrian TAs wanna help me out? :p |
