Dude ing owned. I don't know what else to say. I have a headache (from drinking too much), my ears are ringing and my eyes are blood shot. I met a few kick ass TA's (holla at me for my number). I've never seen a DJ have so much fun before in my life. Honestly, he's my new favorite. To me, he was that good.

Got there super early (9:30 to be exact.) Ricardo Romaneiro's CD release party was a very chill encore to what was one of my favorite nights at Crobar. Joey, Greg, and myself took full advantage of the open vodka bar until 11:30 and prob the reason my head still feels numb right now lol. They opened the main room around 11:30 and not sure who was playing before Serge but the music was pretty good. To be honest, I didn't remember from Serges set....was he good?....was a total blur to me. Eddie came on and proceeded to rip that place apart. Got a chance to see him work it up close (Thanks Sveta;) ) and I have to say.....I was really impressed. Eddie ing RIPPED it!! I have never seen a more technical DJ play in this genre ever. He was so much fun to watch....and he was having a great time doing it. I'm going back to bed now because apparently I'm still drunk!:wtf:

We left early. I think trance, as it is being produced right now, has officially lost most of it's appeal for both barosoap and I. If Eddie and Ferry haven't been able to do it for us the last two times we've actually had expectations of having a good night out at a quasi-trance party, it's gone. :(
BTW, wtf happened to Crobar? When we got there at 1, there were more people in line getting there coats than checking them in. The club was empty, our regular bartender wasn't there, and the mezzanine was closed. Also, the sound ing sucked. Barosoap was wearing foam earplugs after her accident the other week, so it sounded muffled to her anyhow, but to me, it was completely distorted, especially near the back of the floor close to the bar.
On the plus side, the decor of the club, with the frosted panels that light up near the upstairs DJ booth and the "festival-like" neon stilt person walking around, was cool.

I hear that man. I used to enjoy trance nights a great deal but the music just hasn't done it for me in quite some time. I noticed the sound was off at Crobar this past June at the Fundacion closing party by the bar in that vicinity where seemed to have been. To me it was a huge delay or something. For awhile that night, it seemed like every mix was a trainwreck until I went out on the dancefloor and realized how much the sound was off depending on where u were in the room. I know it's a big room but there's got to be a way to tune that better or fix that. There's plenty of bigger clubs that don't experience those issues as dramatically as Crobar does.

yeah. Eddie You are the man.And yeah crobar was empty. I dont know what is going on there. Last year it was really nice to go to crobar. But i feel i am dancing in my house. At the same time i hate people who are just looking around. Most of them were looking around and watching the DJ.

I think they gotta pick up their promotions... Me and the people behind the Shelter party were joking around about it, but now that I think about it, it really is true... We seem to be doing 20 times more promotion for the Shelter party than Crobar, a bigggg room, did for Eddie.... For a party like Eddie Halliwell @ Crobar (a relative tiny name in New York), you need some heavy promotion... Crobar barely posted about it anywhere (like a few days ago), flyer wasn't even that nice... Seems like the case of Avalon, they're bringing great DJs but not really putting their ALL into it, unfortunately...

Actually, I saw flyers all over the ground @ Virgin Union Square for this party. Usually, I don't see Crobar flyers there, just Made Events.
I have rarely seen Crobar this empty. Last time was Donald Glaude last December, and the reason for that was Markus Schulz or Gabriel & Dresden (or both, can't remember) that were playing @ Spirit next door. Last night there wasn't a big competing party in NYC, just Tiesto @ Abyss. And if that took away as many people that were missing last night, that's a really sad statement for where Crobar is getting it's capacity from.
