ok, i just took my ipod-nano which ive had for just under a year off the USB charger, and for the first time ever, i took it off without clicking the "remove " thing at the bottom the screen that is there for removing all USB devices....
so, as soon as i get downstairs to run on the treadmill, i notice my nano isnt turning on at all!
what do i do?
ive tried plugging it back up to the USB charger, no luck.
plugging in my headphones which usually would turn it on, isnt doing anything,
is it possible ive permanantly crashed it? if so, this is tragic cuz i absolutely need music to run and work out too!
some one please help! |

Well, the first mistake you made was to buy an iPod. The solution? Buy a different, non-DRM player from a decent make like Samsung :) Great for audiophiles
If you really want to save your nano, use Google and look up your issue there. It could well be a firmware issue. I don't know. |

| Disconnecting it like that causes errors on the disk, but it's usually repairable. When you reconnect your ipod to the computer, does it reconize it at all? If not, try rebooting the ipod (turn the hold switch on and off, then press and hold the middle and top click-wheel buttons for a few seconds). If the ipod is reconized it should (theoretically) give you the option of reformatting it. That should fix the problem, but you'll lose all your data. Otherwise, I've heard that disk restoration programs like Norton disk doctor can fix the problem, though I haven't tried it personally. |

thanks but honestly dude everyone suggest that, and that never worked...
although back on sunday I took it to the apple store and it miraculously turned itself on.... so basically the guy behind the counter was saying that since i messed up the software by disconnecting b4 it was safe to do so, the device just needed time to fix itself, so a day later everything was fine and dandy....
thanks everyone who gave advice/suggestions! |
