Why is wasabi such a tasty flavor?? It's got just the right amount of saltyness, hotness, and everything good that should be in a flavoring/seasoning.

ugh i hate wasabi
went to japan in 8th grade (before anyone knew what wasabi was, before the budweiser commercials) and our first day there we got off the plane, went to a hotel or something and went to dinner at some authentic blablabla place, lil low key place
our tour guide left to go to the bathroom right as we were sitting down and suggested we just start trying things
we had a huge plate of alllll sorts stuff, and tiny portions of everything
a sampler platter if you will
and so there's this green thing that looked like the ice cream inside of dough things, forget what they're called, but so anyways me and 3 other guys just popped the things into our mouth whole
i'm talking like 2/3 of the size of a golf ball of straight up wasabi, home grown, and strong as
couldn't breathe for a minute, all of us were just on the floor half dying of laughter and half crying it hurt so much
haven't been able to touch the stuff since |

| many japanese restaurants and food items in USA use mustard instead of wasabi. gives you the same effect for less cost. |
