I really like trance music, and lately have been interested in creating my own. I was wondering if it would be worth getting a set of decks and buying FL Studio (I have the demo version and understand how all of it works)
Also if I were to get a set of decks, what vinyls should I buy? Thanks for the help. |

If you don't know at least a few vinyls you want to buy already, I wouldn't recommend that you buy any decks yet.
As far as FL Studio, that sounds like a good bet if you have the demo and already like using it... |

So... if you want to create your own music, why would you need to get decks? Or is that a different question completely? |

wel... Does mixing count as making my own? Ok maybe not but I was interested in decks anyway (and I would probably do a bit of hip hop scratching:tongue2) |

(in my opinion) FL studio is the best possible program that you could use if you're just starting to understand the concepts of music and how things work.. after you master and familiarized your self with the terms and everything else you could use other programs as well..its all the same concept. some of them are just harder to understand so your best bet is starting with FL :) |

Do you want to mix records and do what DJs do, or do you literally want to 'make' the music like a producer would in a studio? It's a bit confusing as often DJs produce and producers DJ. |
