Oh, I should mention Heat just because it's something that always needs to be mentioned.

The ambiance of the soundtrack fits the movie perfectly. The song at the very end tells us something beyond the context of even the movie, itself - that's when you have a really excellent movie score.

the song that plays in the end when de niro is dying and pachino is holding his hand...priceless.

Moby - God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters

everyone connects Adagio for Strings with Platoon, but I actually think of The Elephant Man more than Platoon when I hear that score.

Both movies are excellent in their own way.

Layer Cake has a pretty good soundtrack...but what I liked best was one particular scene that dealt with the loss of a life...the music sounded like the breathing of a respirator machine and the beeping of a heart monitor. ing sick.

I also really loved the music in the movie Beseiged. Now THERE's a movie for hopeless romantics, omg.

Oh, and I love Disney soundtracks, lol.

Hero is another good one. I also love Danny Elfman's work, he's got a signature sound which is what I like.

I can think of tons of flicks with great music!
Inertia
snatch.

disco science scene ftw.

I associate that piece with JFK. The man, not the movie. Well, ok, the movie too.
