Bas and Clovis - Live at Couchez 12.09.06

This two part set was recorded this past Saturday at Couchez in Santa Barbara. Clovis and I had a fantastic time closing down the place. Our good friend Curly opened up the night nicely with some electro/funkier house stuff and we stepped it up with some progressive and electro. Some classics thrown in there as well. Halfway through the first hour a deadly combination of Clovis and I spilling a vodka cran in the mixer and clipping way too high for way too long caused the mixer to "skip" pretty badly and it's evident in the mix. It lasts for maybe the first 15 mins or so of the second hour then goes away and comes back for another track before ending completely. Next time we're going to control the volume from the amp, not the mixer :p

And before you tell us how we can't mix ( :p ) there was almost no PFL in the headphones when the mixer was stuttering...so a few mixes after chuck nology were pretty much jukebox style. Luckily the fine patrons of couchez didnt seem to care :haha: :crazy:
It was alot of fun...if you listen to this and look at thrax pic's you should get a good idea of how the night was :D |

thanks guys for comin up. We definitely have to do it again. They will have the rest of the lighting and sound installed before NYE. Next time it will be way better. You guys rock and I am so impressed at how well you guys pushed through the technical difficulties and kept people interested even tho the music was skipping for what seemed eternity. Keep up the good work and like I said, we must do this again fo sho. =) |

nah, i was well into my set by the time bas & clovis got to the club, and my set was nearly over when they set up the laptop. Its all good. Hehe. |
