copying mp3s from ipod to hard drive?

The obvious answer would be to use copy and paste but then I'd have to go through 20 gigs of mp3s and rename every single one as they have numbers for file names.

Is there any program out there that can do the trick?

You need the software iPod Access. I think it's $20.

You should check out SHAREPOD

It's a little app that lives on your iPod and lets you copy files to and from your ipod and you have naming options when you copy files off of it. You can tell it to follow the ID tags set within the mp3.

Best of all, it's free!

I've been using it for a couple years now.

i use the winamp extension called "ml_pod" which is free and fantastic.

basically, if you use winamp, you right click on the song and choose send to 's ipod. easy to use. likewise, if you want to grab a song for ur pod, you use the Winamp Library which gives u a iTunes layout to manage all ur tracks, minus the system hogness.

enjoy!

iDump is another one that is awesome... doesn't need to be installed and works fine just fine.
