they look foolish on the rhythm-impaired for sure, but if you can bust it, it looks good. Most glowstickers look like tools because of the former point, imo

Glowsticks have the magic power to make anyone holding them look like a total clubbing amateur.

A friend of mine worked at Fabric in London. There the employees are all told if they see someone with glowsticks to confiscate them immediately.

The glowsticks, not the person.

nah, I disagree.. glowsticking is like freestyle rapping or karoke-ing.. most ppl sound stupid when they do it but every once in awhile, someone will blow you away.

I saw a peep at the Guv glowsticking (where else?)..this dude could actually dance with or without glowsticks so that was the dif. Pretty much 95 percent of ppl I see glowsticking should not be :tongue3

PS, I like this thread.. of course it took a TOTA to post it ;)

Dancing is not a performance. People who try to make it one are turning a group activity into something that's *all about them*.

Plus, people who get really into their glowsticking are selfish dancers, taking up too much room.

To each their own an all that, but to me it distracts from the reason you are in a club - a decent club anyways - which is to hear good music.

I just don't see any link between waving little glowing plastic things in the air and a dancefloor. Like, why do it their and not anywhere else?

You don't see people putting on glowstick shows while their waiting for a bus at night. Or waiting for a movie to start. Just in clubs. Weird.

Then again, I don't like cocaine either, so maybe I'm fun-impaired or something.
