Honestly!!!!! it's like every American I've ever met uses that bloody program...that's so e!! I've never met anyone outside of the U.S. that uses it..and they have commercials all over the tv claiming that it's the worlds most used Instant message program used??? Please clarify... preferrably American citizens using this Toast.

Americans are the only people dumb enough to use that garbage.
Think about it, any company that advertises 1000 hours free (in small print, 1 month) just for signing up, Has to attract idiots.
Then they send u the same ratty CD, only in a DvD case and call it the platinum version:rolleyes:
whenever I buy a magazine and open it up after 20 aol cds fall out, I almost feel infested by it, like I wanna throw away the magazine after that.

i do use AOL Instant Messenger, and i have to say i'm quite addicted to it. as for those bloody commercials about 1000 hours free, i don't give a crack. i hate the bloody AOL browser, although i have NEVER used it.
on the other hand, is there a better messenger out there? |

| I used to be a 100% ICQ follower, hehe, but lately, it's been pissing me off, and I used AIM for a bit, but realized how ty it really is...so now I spend most of my uninteresting days on MSN Messenger, cause it is the best one IMO. |

america on line
dial up
if other(other internet access) ppl want to talk to those(aol) ppl
they must have AIM
instent meesenger
thats why all other ppl who dont use AOL use AIM because alot of thier friends and family member have AOL
so its eazier to talk to them |

..... americans arent dumb... and what ur talking about is "AOL" but this subject is "AIM" which is COMPLETELY different. It is just that us AMERICANS find this CHAT PROGRAM easier to deal with than all this other COMPLICATED bull like ICQ and some other crap.. STILL many people use others that arent AIM and enjoy using it more. So correcting you again, AIM isn't AOL. Peace |

I downloaded the latest and it corrupted on me
AIM is just simple and straightforward
it requires like NO bandwith

ICQ has too many pointless buttons for control freaks

whenever my ICQ is working and i go online
i get retarded ass
3rd world east indians curious who i am and if I want to befriend them
Yahoo is is tad better it has all the cool chat rooms within reach
most are filled with idiots though

| i just use trillian so i dont have any of those gay pop ups. but i was always a bigger fan of aol because it saves ur buddy list and what not. oth have gay ass advertising now..............so i switched to the free trillian that supports them all :) |

Well, I've recently turned to Trillian... and I now have the ability to consolidate/merge all my I.M. accounts...MSN Messenger, ICQ, and IRC. SO it's aloooooot better. The NEW ICQ does suck ...that's why it's best to stick with all the prior versions starting from 99. The funny thing is that AOL bought out ICQ and ed it up. That's why it has all those ty ass pop ups...and ads now. Smart people DO NOT!! use AIM...cause if they were smart they'd learn how to use IRC or ICQ for that matter. It's really not that hard...unless u're one of those people who can't set the clock on your DVD /VCR player?? |
