Who IS/ARE capable of making remakes

Let's look at this quagmire from a different perspective.
As quoted by Sander Van Doorn, one must be cautious before putting out any material for the masses.
This couldn't be more important when considering about remaking a classic.
Who in your opinion is/are capable of remaking a classic and pulling it off?
Some that come to mind :

Discuss.
Don't come around and say remakes shouldn't be done in the first place.

Even if it isn't, I'm sure his rework of "Wavy Gravy" or a second crack at "Cafe Del Mar" (Sean Tyas Rework) will be out by this afternoon providing us with plenty of fodder for "OMG This is teh suxx0rz" vs. "STFU make something better or GTFO!" threads to come. :) |
