I think alot has to do with the vast distances that people have to travel to work, which results in Cars instead of walking / bike riding to school / work.

Also people in North America are alot more stressed then Europeans, the mentality is different here. People live to work, that means that thier career is thier # 1 periority in their life. That results in alot of stress, which then leads to bad eating habbits and weight gain.

Yeah it is actually. The fast food culture in Europe resembles very little with its counterparts here in NA.

Uh, no its not. I know what the fast food culture is like in Europe. I go there on a yearly basis. Go into any major European city and you'll find McDonalds without a problem. It's obviously not as developed as it is here, but you're lying to yourself if you think that the fast food business in Europe is small/non-existent.

The only difference is that here, we have a lot more unhealthy choices.

I LOVE junkfood. The taste, the smell, everything. But i know that it is bad for you. So i dont eat it, at least not very often. Maybe once a week, or once every two weeks. I see it as a cheat meal for my efforts to eat healthy at home. I mean i never had problems with weight so its not even that. I think eating good food at home, makes you feel alot better, healthier and you have more energy for your day.

Nicely said...I totally agree...It is a cheap way out...but it adds up with the price though...it ends up costing so much ... Jason (my Bf) learned to save so much money just by staying at home...

They're not that hard to come by, especially in major urban centres. In fact, in big cities they're just as easy to come by there as here. Of course overall there's going to be WAY more here. There's a much bigger market for this here. On top of that, North America is home to junk food.

Bigger market=lazy people ;)

Yup. What do you expect though? North American culture is based around the "let someone else do it for me" mentality. Why do I have to do something, when you can do it for me?
