It's certainly not a stretch to say this show should have been cancelled about 7-8 seasons back. :(
The Simpsons was a formative part of my childhood - to see it in its current form is an absolute shame. |

it's trying too hard now, the beauty of the golden episodes was they just flowed. Now it's trying too hard to either be controversial, or with gimps as guests who nobody gives a about. Gone are the days we got a celebrity to just voice a new character, they're themselves, and like most of them irl, they're just boring. Then you get the ricky gervais episode. That just didn't work at all, he's not funny as it is but it makes you cringe to see it. |

| The show really peaked almost ten years ago. Seasons 5-8 were great, everything after that has been pretty much awful. |

i agree, but there are still a strong 2 minutes every 5-6 episodes. i just watch it to catch that... though i suppose i could just wait a week and youtube it.

| im a huge simpsons fan from seasons 1-8 when the story and jokes were clever. they went downhill quick after season 8.. new simpsons are so unclever and resort to cheap jokes like sex and violence.. as a huge early simpsons fan, i'm so pissed off they havent taken this show off the air. |

I laughed so hard at that, it was a really smart episode. |
