That track came out in 2004 and if you don't have specific examples to back up a point, your point is worthless.

The year I became "jaded", picky and incredibly critical of every DJ I saw play out. The result of that has had it's pluses and minuses. Unfortunately, more minuses. There have been plenty of times where I wish I could've just let the smallest off-beat transition slide, but it's just bugged me so much.

That's unfortunate. There are plenty of things that bug me way more than a slightly off mix. In fact, a slightly off mix is the low on the list of things a Dj can do wrong in my mind.

Unless they are all off and more that slightly, I'm fine with a couple shifty mixes.

as this was the first year I have really become involved with trance, I'd have to say I've enjoyed it quite a lot. Howeeeeever, listening to a 2004 Mix I heard more great tracks strung in a row than I have this year--different styles have you, but still. Overall, I really enjoyed this year though.

That's the thing. Everything else about the transitions could be perfect, but I'm so beat-oriented that it just gets on my nerves. I don't look down on the DJ, it's just a natural reaction of, "What the , God this is so irritating!" It's made going out a huge pain in the ass for me.

seems to me like all the trance djs are slowly starting to play more and more house tunes just cause there isnt any new trance anymore or it sucks..

This year has left me disillusioned. The whole EDM "scene" seems very distant to me now. I only went to one trance party the entire year and even then I was just sitting there wondering what the hell was going on - I couldn't recognize any of the tunes and they all just sounded dull and samey. I somehow felt so old and out of place (feeling old at the age of 23... sheesh).

As a result, I've mostly been listening to old school rock (Led Zeppelin, Beatles) and some newer (Muse) but not really any EDM. Hell, I've had to resort to playing house in my sets even though I don't particularily like it just because there just hasn't been any decent trance or breaks for me to play. Luckily some proggy breaks stuff has started to emerge again, the nu-skool thing really got old fast.

I just don't know where I am musically any more.

sounds like a skitz to me
Beethoven
cheesy electro year
