| you came off a little strong but i agree with you, and she did say it... if an unknown promoter came on here promoting Guest House or something and saying "you wont be let in if you dont look hot or dressed sexy", you would all give her hell for the lack of vibe something like that contributes to.. just playing the devil's advocate that what she posted could soooo be misconstrued and elitist |

That's just it, Bree's hardly "unknown" on TA nor is Groovanauts.com. In fact, anyone that knows us would not take her statement literally or even seriously for that matter. :crazy: |

lol! oh steven, i've missed your british ass! you're totally right, though. i came off the wrong way. someone clued me in to that right away and i just didn't get around to editing this post cause i figured you all knew the deal. don't tell me you've forgotten me? i certainly wouldn't turn YOU away ;) but seriously, i was just trying to say that we aren't trying to make money by commercializing this party and turning it into a free for all. the idea is that it's a chance for all of us to get together like we used to without dealing with a lot of the that goes on today. no one really gets quizzed at the door. but if a bunch of drunk gangsta teenagers pulled up in front of the club in a pimped out SUV, blasting hiphop & shouting obscenities, i know they wouldn't make it past security. and if that's something that bothers you, that's fine. this party is about the music and the vibe and i am not going to sacrifice that to make a buck.
we welcome newcomers and oldskoolers alike; it's just that my goal is to be surrounded by people who genuinely appreciate the music. is that so wrong?

again, you guys are totally right. i guess i've been off the boards for a while and forgot that there's so many new people who don't even know me. i'm never the type to turn people away; i have the nickname BrieCheese for a reason :)
however, i AM a bit elitist and i will be the first to admit it. i bust my ass on this party and i'm only doing it so i CAN create what I believe is a pleasurable club experience. i take my music seriously and i want to be able to enjoy it thoroughly. does that mean i won't be making a career of this? yes. you can't make money in the NYC club scene if you cater to only a small group of people. fortunately, i've got a good day job :p |

HOLD UP!!! i just got around to reading THIS post. you certainly HAVE NOT seen me off my face, my dear. I've NEVER thrown anyone around the dancefloor. The only notable incident was in late 02 or early 03 when i accidentally hit Taso in the face when I was doing the fist pump. And yeah, i was ing wasted at that time, which was way before i met you. and would i want the Brianna of 2002 at my parties? NO. i didn't have a clue back then. i can always admit that i'm wrong but if there is one thing i take very seriously it's being in total control in public. so be careful with your statement there, babe.
also, it should be noted that i don't run this club. this is a PARTY. these are my rules, not the club's rules. and the party can change venues at any time. furthermore, this isn't england. you're damn right i wouldn't last a minute over there but that's neither here nor there. to each his own, my dear. i respect your opinion but your statments are not entirely factual and you should consider that when you post specific references about me or anyone else.
