This "essentialist" curriculum created in 1982 by Mortimer Adler and The Paideia Group proposes a single, required, 12-year course in general, humanistic learning as a foundation for the future learning of all students?? |
ahhh
sounds right, thanks
always wondered...cause they were paideia high school but there was no town named paideia |

| paideia is an honor's program at southwestern. you have to maintain a 3.0 to stay in and they give you $1000 towards study abroad (going to france in sept.) other than that it's like a student-learning based course you take from soph to senior year. you build a portfolio of all the stuff you've done...it's kind of ambiguous actually |

they have the same thing here but you have to stay in an average of 2.67 which equals B- ! |

just finnished my last exam today
technology and work cycles, electrical engineering - power systems and AC circuit analysis (why i have to take this course in civil engineering is beyond me.....) , and Product life cycle analyisis
to be quite honest i dont really give a rats ass how i do in any of those courses so long as its above an F. I only have 3 classes left to graduate FINALLY..... next term i have wood engineering, steel desing II, and my last arts elective..... grade nine geography (needed a third course to qualify for financial aid..... and they didnt say it needed to be a challenging one lol and now i get to go skiing for free spring break)
but i imagine my marks will be all A's this term..... |
