Finishing off CD 2 of the new GU:29 Dubai, not quite as pleased as CD1, but still enjoying it none the less, its made me reflect a little bit over my collection of CD's, and offered a question. Does this, or my other new GU cd offer any place reference to a time when i would chose this CD over any other for a listen.
in other words:
Do you have a CD that you like to play ... right before a big show, on the drive home after a party... when your royally Pissed OFF... when you feel like just passing out... etc.
I'm looking more for the most dramatic of your choices. And WHY
for me:
the drive home after an after party - Paul Oakenfold Global Undergound 7 : New York CD1
(that cd is the most peaceful mix of deep house and trance i've ever come across)
hope this isnt a repost of sorts, but if i get flamed, so be-it.

Does this have to be EDM only? because I listen to other genres depending on my mood...

Before I go out I listen to Kelis-Kelis was Here..awesome CD with some groovy R&B tunes..or perhaps Dj Dan In Stereo, or Preach's Relic Mix Compilation :wtf:

While walking to or from work there are 2 cd's I listen to: Sandra Collins Perfecto Presents Vol 2 or Marco V Combinations..Cd 2 is very very energetic and gets me going in the morning...Sandra is used more when walking home at the end of work to de-stress..the songs have a great flow to them and are quite hypnotic and relaxing.

To relax I find the latest ISOS CD 1 to be relaxing as the sounds take me to a faraway place ie: hot weather, beaches, seagulls.
Keane: Under the Iron Sea is also relaxing and listen to that a lot when I am in a reflective sombre mood and want to be alone.

When feeling a bit frisky I always turn on Sade or Toni Braxton.
:wtf:
But no matter what happens you will never ever find me listening to a country song!

totally agree for the ISOS5 cd1 comment, very very good start to finish. as well for me i like to turn on the itrip and listen to ferry corsten live at esc99fm (i believe thats the set) or ATB's big 3 hour set from the cream arena, the opening tune (Ecstacy) just the way it starts gets me going!

i much prefer to listen to sets in the car, some singles, but usually i can find a liveset that includes the songs i feel like hearing.
