Torq work in mono?

Rather odd questions.

The story is a few months ago I discovered my left channel on the right sl1210m3d was not working (red cable). It's not the cartridge, stylus or mixer. Being broke that I am I went to Radioshack and picked up a RCA splitter so it splits my white line into my mixer into two outputs (essentially mono).

I bought Torq a few days ago after falling in love with it at a friends place. The question is will Torq pick up the signal from the TT in mono? I don't see why this would pose a problem.

You can fix that yourself or get it fixed really cheaply. I think its probably the contacts where the RCAs connect to the PCB or its the RCAs themselves. Either way the repair is the same. Desolder the old RCA contacts and resolder them. Preferrably with new RCA cables.

Thanks I'll try that but can anyone answer my question?

i dont see why it wont, but since you already have torq, why not try it.

No it can't pick up the signal in mono. In fact, in the manual is says that if the music plays erratically or backward, you may have your stereo leads backwards.

Yeah Serato and Torq don't like it when one of your channels goes out. I had a needle that lost a channel once and it wouldn't work at all. Would still play regular vinyl in mono but Serato wouldn't read the control signal.
