im running WinXP Sp2, and i have a sb audigy 2 soundcard with the live drive. winamp plays mp3's fine and i can hear them but windows tells me that i dont ahve a soundcard installed, and if i try to play a game or anything else there is no sound. WTF it was working fine this aft and i havent done or installed anythign today, i removed and reinstalled my soundcard and it seemed to fix it but then it did it again...

| Do you have automatic updates turned on? Sometimes the updates will remove drivers for your hardware. Have you tried reinstalling the driver or doing a driver rollback? |
