Bad Beat

Alright, I know... another bad beat story... but I have to rant.

Me: Pocket 6s.

Check.

Flop: 6d, 3d, K

Check, Me: Bet 350, Call

Fold, Call

Turn: 3

Thinking: "Cool... full house... got the nuts... slow play"

Me: Check, Check

River: x

Me: Bet 1000 (Put him all in), calls

Thinking: "Yeah, well played. You're hot."

He pulls out pocket kings.

Yeah, .

OK OK... THEN (Next hand!)

Me: Pocket 10s

Bet 150, Call, Me: Raise 400.

Fold, Call.

Flop: J, 3, 7

He bets 100. I raise, 400. He goes all in.

I thought he was lying. I call.

He has K, 3.

Here I'm an 80% chance of winning.

Turn ... x... whatever. 90% chance.

River... 3...

I'm out.

that .

What are your stories?

I have three years worth of bad beat stories, and im tired of re-telling them...Now im so used to them, I just shrug and move onto the next hand.

A small money game of hold'em is a nightly ritual at my house. I've had draws or a pair by the turn and taken it down solely by catching a winning hand on the river card more than my fair share of times, but then again I've been deviously outplayed and left empty-pocketed more times than I'd like to admit too. My roommate last night had pocket 9's and by the end of the hand, went to trips and then to quad 9s on the river card. He pwnd us on that one

ha yeah, what the is up with that?? i've had way too many bad beat stories. hey threadstarter were you playing online or was it a live game?

Well to be honest I dunno if that is a bad beat because he just had better cards. To me a bad beat is when you play as well you can and get beat (like have the best hands on an all-in and then the bugger seriously lucks out).

That said it is freaking ghey! :p

Worst I've had was being heads up for a big money game (came home pissed then shat myself when I realised what I'd done which gave a weird mix of dutch courage and "ohhh what have I done") so got to the last two long story short got beat when I had K high flush (needing two in the pocket) by A high flush.

One card in the whole deck plus having to have the same suit where there wern't many left in it (no possiblity of trips/quads/FH). Think I flopped it too so thats 7 cards of the same suit in a row, and him getting the only A from that suit and me getting the K... chances of that eh?

In a word peaving! But it happens the other way too.

the only good thing cards are for is drinking games.

All in with a pair of threes?...Hes a donkey! I swear..90% if the time its a lose hand. I hate when people try to chase some bull and catch a river card:whip: You maybe should have raised higher to make him fold, that! Even though he got you, he will think it can happen more often than they really can. He will lose because of that thinking. He will probably chase straights and flushes and hold onto low pairs...and find himself watching everyone else play. Sure he got you that game but now you know he will hold onto a hand.
