reports, pics and vids from Turnmills last night please???
dj_mdma
No pics or vids from me, since taking pics of Turnmills is the equivalent of me taking pictures of my home to remind what its like :toothless

PvD was pretty good! He just cements what sort of music i like to hear. He plays melodic trance with driving synths and basslines which are just so danceable! I could easily dance to him all night unlike Ferry's stuff a couple of weeks back.

Setwise he started off a bit more chilled (he played a 2hr 30 mins set) but tunes i remember from the night were

Kyau vs Albert - Are You Fine :whip: :whip:
Greg Downey - Vivid Intent
Kuffdam and Plant - The Ones we Love (Dogzilla mix)
Galen Behr - Carabella (Hydroid mix)
Fred Baker - Lunar Eclipse
Gareth Emery - The Verdict
Lange - Another You Another Me (Terranova and Austin Leeds remix)
Mac and Mac - Rippin' Base
Water Planet - Introspection (Askew mix) (OMG!)
An electro-y remix of The Other Side that reminds me of Playmo
a remix of Time of our lives

There are others but i'm sure Rick will be along to add to that list. There was a tune that was quite recognisable. It is a euphoric trance track that has "PVD Production" written all over it with a distinctive male vocal that has a chorus that starts with "This it the anthem... ...." and a nice guitar lead. I assume it is called The Anthem  but do not know the artist!

Wasn't there last night but sounds like it was probably Filo & Peri: 'The Anthem'. :)

You know, i think he played in twice on friday too, he started off on it (I thought it was Gavin Mytchell finishing off) and finished off on it too! I guess he must like this track then :o

Yeah he did play it twice, he also played the crush vocal over the top of Life less ordinary, PvD - Stormy Skies, 4 Strings - Take Me Away 2006 (Mac Zimms remix) and I reckon a couple of the tracks he played must have been his new ones - the one after stormy skies sounded very pvd'ish to me and a male vocal track towards the end also.
