Âme Interview

Speaking of Âme:

Interview on Resident Advisor

I like how they're aiming for a slow release cycle of quality over quantity, both in their own production and for Innervisions. The influences they mention are interesting, and their use of vintage analog as well.

You can tell from the responses that they're not entirely comfortable working with Defected. :p

Thanks. That was a good read.

They lost me when they made those dumb remarks about the whole "minimal" thng, but then a big percent of techno, tech house, and house djs were playing "rej" I have been to the innervisions party durin confrence and they showcase some serious good music.

great read. Only part that lets me down is

The next Âme album - sooner or later?

I am certainly not a big fan of albums.

Their self titled cd is good stuff.

It's great indeed, and costs only 11 euros in Sonar Kollektiv shop!

Yeah but they were right. And they don't do or play that generic bandwagon minimal . There's so much better minimal out there and they know what it is

Yet again, one of the fellows from Ame' proves to be a complete idiot.

It frustrates me when self-absorbed pricks like this make such good music - I feel dirty supporting them at all.

There've been more than a few interviews with one or both of these fellows where they really just appeared exceptionally full of themselves, occasionally openly insulted their fans and other producers for apparently not being as intelligent as them, and in general come off as utterly self obsessed knobs.

Ame' isn't doing anything revolutionary - They just happen to have done a few things pretty damn well.
