hey guys
this song was made in memory of someone that changed my life. I was really young when I met her, if only I could turn back time and say goodbye.

This is very good. If you polish this up a bit here and there, you'll really have a winner. Here are some criticisms and suggestions:
(1) Some of the higher percussive elements seem too loud in the mix and too "dry." I think making them a bit more subdued might be good.
(2) The male vocal part isn't working for me. I think you'd be better off having a synth or something in its place, or maybe a different sort of vocal.
(3) I think the strings would sound better with a slightly longer attack and a longer release on them and maybe some more reverb.
(4) The piano might sound better without the delay.
(5) Bass! Adding a fairly prominent but smooth-sounding bassline could definitely take this up a notch, I think. |
