Why Denver can suck me right now.....

I JUST got home from the airport right now (actually 20 mins ago). I come to find out that the reason why 2 flights were delayed (2 of MY flights) was because of the Denver storm. Believe or not there are also corporate and business people that travel in and out of Puerto Rico during the week. So...
This week? Oh, just splendid. Right after the last post I posted here last night (or maybe it was reeeeally early this morning..i dont remember quite well because I've just lost so much sleep my mind doesn't even work anymore), "chump" gets on the intercom and announces that flight 366 coming from Pennsylvania and 198 (my flight) flying TO Miami have been delayed due to weather conditions. I thought "well wtf? it isnt burning balls in PR nor is it snowing". I'm sitting near a Chili's at SJU and there happens to be a flat screen TV on, tuned to C-Span. The headlines on the bottom basically said that if you were waiting on a previously delayed flight, you were fecked due to delayed flights coming from Northern USA. I knew Denver was in trouble because I'd spoken to my dad on the phone earlier about it. So yea...9 hours waiting at the airport wasn't fun (and i counted about 50 other heads at the airport as well that were stranded). I did meet this guy whom I had previously happened to look over at his mp3 player while reading a book and saw he was listening to Deep Dish...which of course caught my attention and woke me up after 3 hours of fighting sleep.
Anyways I ended up getting on a plane that headed directly to Houston. So here I am, about to go blow up anything I see. Even jamming to Anberlin on the way home didnt take care of the anger :whip: :whip: , which in the world of indie/emo music just seems a little odd. I'm out. |

You know, it almost broke my heart when I saw that 78 or so year old woman at the airport (this was on the news of course**) who said that she was trying to get the last happy meal at mcdonalds there and couldnt get it. She looked so hungry too man....and that just pissed me off. And, just like you said Nicole, she said she estimated being there 'till Sunday or so...which would most definitly suck if my X-mas Eve was spent at an airport. I feel sorry for those people that need diapers for their kids and things like that. |

i know, dude. people are just STUCK. it's terrible. know some airline employees who are trying to help where/when they can with volunteering and dontations etc. overall, airlines aren't responsible for weather delays/cancels, so everyone's stressed, bummed, wasting time. :( |
