bahahaha that is probably because Rachel hasn't had sex for a very long time. Poor her.

A great night out with a lot of fun people! The old tunes were inspiring & the dancefloor was just jumping. Thanks to everybody for an amazing time!

Quote of the night: "Couldn't have more fun with our clothes on if we tried!"

I thought that summed it up nicely.

Robb G owns.
I love Footwork.

Robb's set was the one I most wanted to hear :(

glad to hear it was a good party...I'm going to miss tonight's techno jam there too, thanks to work tomorrow :whip:

This party deserved its own review thread, but since we're already got this ball rolling, will add to it anyways.

Thank you Activate for throwing an old school jam- hopefully you make it an annual event.

Awesome fun times out last night. Surprisingly busy!! I was dancing up a storm, burning off those x-mas calories (much needed). Our awesome crew was out in force last night. Poor Kevin & Maddy- invited them down, then realized they were not gonna 'get' (and dare I say HATE) the music they were playing last night. Maddy lasted a whole 10 mins b4 leaving, and Kevin just drank his way into oblivion in order to put up with the music and us silly old fogies getting excited about those old tunes. Big props to Faiz & his crew for opening their minds to the old beats and having fun.

All the DJ's I saw did a great job (tho I missed Jelo, having left at 3am), but there was some definite 'timeline boundary violations' by most of the DJ's, playing songs that surpassed '98 ;) (which was fine for Kevin, as those were the only tunes he could associate with). John E wins the set of the night for me, for breakin out some serious oldies choons. I only wish someone woulda played a full-on oldies '92-94 set, instead of jumping all over the decade.

Definitely shoulda started a 'songs u want to hear played at the old school event' thread. SO MANY oldies were missed last night... and for this reason, I want to learn how to spin my old records and hopefully be ready to play next year's event ;) .

I believe it was John E who played the James Brown tribute song, but
HOW DID NO ONE PLAY "JAMES BROWN IS DEAD"????? (travesty of the night).

And how awesome was it to see Mark Scaife out last night??

amazing night!

club was packed and people were losing their !

it's already been decided that this is now going to be an annual event.

I heard just about every single song i was hoping to hear :)

a couple of people had it packed, but no one wanted to play it seeing as he actually just died.

I think the scene must have been a little different in England but I was expecting classics like;
Where love lives
Shine on
Strings of life
Remixed Fools Gold

etc etc etc.....

I still had a wonderful time but I still have my voice which means that I wasn't singing nearly enough!

Hi to ShortyManda - great to meet you hun!

Activate (Evan) this is at least 4 events now that we have been to at the same time, you really must say hello!

MarkT, you were missed!! As was Cuzo :(
