Yeah, Sasha totally had iTunes opened on his laptop here in SF last month, too.

i'm guessing tom ditched the big rotary and ableton for itunes and this step sequencer. :)

yeah looks like hes got the new yamaha? i think thats what the back says...
so to answer your question woody, his set up would be no different then his ableton one. In ableton you would load your mp3's into its sequencer and play around from there. with this, same thing... hes just loading his library into this hardware version of a sequencer.

what's the difference woody? mp3's are mp3's.
i use itunes everyday and i love it. i don't use it to mix, but i can see how it would be an useful tool for any "mp3 dj"
a lot of people knock programs like itunes or garageband cus they come loaded onto the macs but if you take the time to explore these, you will see that they are VERY powerful.
as a matter of fact...i just read in xlr8r magazine, that justice used garageband to record their last e.p. and that was like the best of 06.
so anyways, who cares if it's ableton or itunes, he's just loading them into his sequencer thingamajig :D |

You are right. Just to clarify, on iTunes, Tom had some recent remixes and new stuff on his iTunes. After he played them in his set early on, he closed his laptop for the rest of the night. |
