I've bought 30 tracks in the past 2 weeks, and at least 4 drift when i'm warping them in ableton or playing them on CDJs. Does this happen to any of you? Should I email Beatport about it?
Tracks like Sebastien Leger - GEFD should not drift :conf: |

| That sounds a bit strange, especially if they're new releases since they're most likely encoded straight from the master wave/aiff. |

| Hey I think your right, I was setting up a track that I got from beatport in Ableton and its not right... |

| Strange. I've made three mixsets in the last three months using Ableton Live with music downloaded from Beatport. |

It's 0s and 1s it's never perfect.
Just add more warp points in the intros and outtro and it'll stay on track. |

| I've never had to add more than a single warp marker on any of my music and I would be upset if I did have to. Maybe we should get a list of these songs started. |

| the vast majority of songs ive had to warp with 3 or more warp points...even the latest digital releases are not perfect i dont know why people would expect them to be. even my own productions skew tempo in order to arrange right depending on the circumstances. |

Even my vinyl rips are never off by more than .1 or .2 Some tracks are slightly off but at least they are consistently off, so they can be warped quickly. These tracks have sections that fluctuate, so I have to set EACH beat's marker if I want it perfect :/ |

I've not found any problems with drift in any of my 200 Beatport tracks (plus a hundred or so from other stores).
I once found a glitch where there was a tiny spot of missing music so the beat shifted, I think they dropped almost exactly one whole beat so the downbeat shifted. Beatport replaced the track after checking it out, it was an encoding or file storage problem on their end. I have another similar glitched track that I should ask them about. So that's about 1% with glitch problems.
There are a few tracks where I need to set more than one beat marker (Traktor thing something like an Ableton warp marker) because of the occasional situation where they have a breakdown that is not an exact multiple of the beat length, but that is a characteristic of the way the producers made their music and you would also find that on an original CD or vinyl if you had those. |

| I use CDJ's, yes some digital tracks seem to be all over the place. I wonder sometimes if its the producers having a laff to make life harder for us |
