I haven't been around TA in a while. I got heavily into computer music and programming languages. Attached is an algorithmic computer music piece (this means that the piece is written by the computer ).
windsounds mp3
The program is written in the computer language Chuck. All sounds are either composed de novo or modified from the STK kit. The drums are sampled but played algorithmically. Because the main voice is slightly controlled and filtered white noise, it's called windsounds. People of an experimental nature, who like chaos and something a little different, may enjoy it.
I am now working in Csound and Chuck. I am also doing C and python. I hope to make a python algorithmic DAW soon, but I have a couple of knowledge gaps to fill first.
Merry Christmas to all TA fans! And a special hello to any old faces I haven't seen in a while. Have fun and live long!

actually with file factory you scroll halfway down the screen where it says: "Download for free with FileFactory Basic"
click that
then on the next page about halfway down it says: "Click here to begin your download"
it's there, just hard to see. i like filefactory because it's free and the downloads are really fast. |

yes i am doing the linux thing
debian/ubuntu edgy eft
the link behavior may be very different in windows too, i forgot that
the learning curve is insane and it's hard to wrap my head around. But I like the "fiddly bits" in life, so I don't mind.
I never was really good at music composition, always too cerebral and experimental. So programming, apps, and algorithmic composition is much more my bag. But there are people like BT on his new album using this stuff to very artistic and human effect. |

Thanks! You got some interesesting sounds in this, nice intro. And I like that it has a melody. But the kick need to be stronger and the sound clearer. Nice idea though, keep it up! :)
Merry Christmas!
