Yeah, I can't wait for the version 2.0 to come out -- just look at this beauty.

Okay.. so far along the way i have used

traktor, pcdj silver, pcdj red, atomix, mixvibes, vtt, mj studio
i have to say by far VTT is da best!!, for of all, the program is veryyyy stable and dosen't take up alot of ram %

second, the sound that comes out of it is very clear and nice, it is the closest thing i have seen to a real TT..

atomix, lol, this program is a KIDDIE script
a baby can mix with this program, it just does everything 4 u!!!.. and the sound quality is HORIBLE!!!!

the samples are so lame!!!, i think they took all of them from icq
:p

well.. just my 2 cents, get VTT NOW!

btw - i use 2 soundcards..

Yeah, it should be out by June and will be available for both PC and Mac. Here is the preview.

so is traktor 2.0 in beta still? or gold? the UI looks a little better than the previous version, but i wonder if the code is stable yet...

I use both Tracktor and VTT depending on what I want to do or achieve. Tracktor has some nice features such as the on board Notch/Band Pass Filter that does a fairly accurate job of the real thing. However, Tracktor has a dodgy built in compressor that I don’t like and don’t know how to switch off. :(

For newbies wanting to learn the ropes I suggest Tracktor. However if you’re already a DJ and want a cut the crap straight forward MP3 program VTT, is the one for you. Or do what I do and use both :p

By the way, I have mine set up with two soundcards and an external mixer. For any MP3 mixing program though you need a decent sound card.

very true about needing a good soundboard... and good isnt always expensive, however.

Cheap soundcards have bad frequency lock (IE 44.1khz may drift or not be very accurate) and tend to report the audio stream position with a very high degree of error... very bad things there.

also, try to avoid 3D (4 channels on one device and one board) when mixing MP3s... they generally not only have poor signal quality, but also tend to have bad channel seperation...

ok... so yall seem to think traktor is the sh*t so you must know something about it ;) will version 1.x work with an external mixer?

i just obtained a copy of 1.06 and I dont see any support for an external mixer... am I missing something?

Traktor 1.x doesn't work with an external mixer.

I use BPM Studio and enjoy it immensely with an external mixer... works much like a pair of cd decks. But once Traktor 2 comes out, I'm going to have to give it a try, it looks really good.
MERiDiAN5i2
that's cool. i figured i wasnt missing anything.

*cough* traktor looks like a big pile o terd *cough* maybe 2.0 will be a little less insane on the layout and better on the functionality *lol*

BPM studio.. there's one I havnt tried yet *hits the file sharing engines*

There is an eJay pc mixing program, and i have it :)

Its made by the same guys at Atomix mp3... :D

Its okay, but certainly not good... :p

eJay is simply a pre-release version of AtomixMP3 2.0. 2.0 is buggy enough, eJay is worse *lol*

The eJay version of AtomixMP3 also does not function with an external mixer... The whole idea of trying to hit the EQs, crossfader, track selections, etc with just a keyboard and mouse and ludicris.
