well these headphones sound great and get the job done but i feel like i am wearing an actual car on my head while dj'ing.

can someone recommend some cans in the same price range that dont weigh a ton and that dont look too gay? heh.

are you serious?

i guess phones are a personal thing, i mean i feel like they feel "solid" rather than "heavy". yeah they're a bit on the weighty side but when u get used to it its not a big deal. how long have you had them? since when do how they make you look have anythign to do with it? i mean armin and ferry use them, plenty of people use them i dont find anything wrong with them but ofcourse your entitled to your opinion. what are your other options? i know the hdj1000's tend to break real easy so i suppose you should look into sony's or possibly molded earplugs (what i would go for if i was in the market for new phones). i know the ultrasone pro dj1's are supposed to be top of the line as well.

well anything is an option as long as it doesnt cost more than like...150. I need cans with BIG ear cups like the technics have.

I tried to hdj-1000 and YES they broke. the ear cup was way too small anyways. in fact...there isnt really an ear cup on the hdj-1000's.
