Sebastian Sand - Strange Bends [Euphonic]

The Euphonic crew are currently promoing their next single by Sebastian Sand. They're home to Kyau Vs. Albert, Mirco De Govia and Ronski Speed amongst others.
Their releases are usually decent fodder for the trance masses with the occasional, exceptionally good release popping up every 2-3 months.
Euphonic appear to have jumped on the 'electro-dirty-house hook' bandwagon as well.
Luckily, they've put it to careful use and utilized the electro flavor in moderation.
Original Mix - Listenable stuff.
Proggy-deep house w/ trancey vibes. Also features a decent vocal sample. This is better employed in the remix (see below).
This mix sounds a lot like Sultan's production style. - 6.5/10

Kyau Vs. Albert Mix - What a blinding remix!!!!!!
After the horrendously cheesy, cookie-cutter crap that was 'Are You Fine' and a below average album, Kyau Vs. Albert viciously snap back with a no-holds-barred, pounding electro-trancer.
They probably read TA's reviews of Worldvibe before making this :p
Right from the start we're introduced to this super-funky , quirky bassline. After the usual 50 second mark, the vocal sample is put to superb use, been layered perfectly over the synth and bassline. This gradually builds slightly into an early breakdown. Again, this is a superb breakdown, with the vocal samples being looped repeatedly whilst blending perfectly with the ambience. The breakdown doesen't last very long and after the short build-up we're treated to a bassline absolutely dripping of FUNK. All the elements of the track then are played out in full force with the vocal loop being the focal point.
Superb stuff. - 9.5/10
A big thumbs up to the two for being more creative this time around.

| ahh finally! been waiting for new stuff from sebastian sand ever since i heard his amzing remix on sole survivor. curious to hear the original, which i'm sure will be quality. kyan and albert remix will most probably be a miss for me, but will see :) |
