I know, the sales guy has had two other GTI's before the one he has now. He said chipping it gives SOOO much power. Don't know if I want to do that though, seeing as how it's a lease :p
I'll save the chipping for when I buy an Audi. |

Chipping an Audi costs twice as much, with similar results. If you chip your GTI, make sure to get the stock program installed with it, just in case you need to have warranty work done.
I have my Jetta 1.8T chipped, and it gives the car a new feel of driving. |

I wouldn't mind chipping my GTI, that's not the issue. I just don't want to do all this fancy stuff to the car and have to take it all off before I give it back to the dealer :p |

All I've done to my car, is a chip, suspension upgrade, and new wheels/tires - and I'm financing my car. Since you're leasing, 'just' chipping the car isn't a big deal.

Ok maybe I'll chip it, but after I get it lowered and possibly possibly get the OEM body kit. |

You're on the right track - just do basic upgrades, while you're leasing the car. Since I'm financing, I have more freedom to work on my car. |

| a chip would be slick and all that, but imo it aint really worth it puttin mods on a leased car |

Chip isn't that big of a deal, because it's easy to swap out. As for suspension upgrades and body kits - that's something I wouldn't do with a leased car, but that's his choice. |
