I think it's a habit a lot of people have is to pick out what they are going to wear when flying considering they are usually planning ahead of time ( with your bags packed the day before etc ).
Under such circumstances it only makes sense that some people try to pull out the best things they have to wear as they want to feel so nice when flying.

Uggs are ugly and years behind now as being "fashionable"
Pajamas are meant to be worn in your house, period.
All luggage are not the same... spend any reasonably long amount of time on the road and you'll learn that... Tumi for life! Buy once and you're done. |
humm is their stuff real good? Never really heard of them(I'm not a luggage expert but I know I have destroyed many bags over the years ... )
call me ghetto but the best tuffest cheapest and most lightweight cases are the
Rubbermaid tote bins.

Built to resist a bomb shell :haha:. ( I've only travelled with them a handful of times when moving to other continents and stuff ).
I'm considering getting a Rimowa case some time down the road ...

People in airports treat you better if you're dressed up. Security, gate agents, ticket people, etc.
My only proof of this is the thousands of miles I've aquired over the last 18. |
oh so ugly dressed people don't get to fly thousands of miles? :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
I usually dress fairly comfy for flights so I can chillax everytime. |

No dude, you're still missing it. FOR THE MOST PART you get better treatment when you are wearing "nice" clothing. And don't get me wrong, I'm always comfortable- I just might choose a polo over a raddy tshirt. Doesn't effect me at all, but it changes the way im percieved. |

Funny stuff! Uggs are nasty...period...they went out of style in the 70's (for those that think they are just coming into style here...you're wrong. It seems like its "festive" but not in style)...let it go!
I made sure I wasnt going to wear anything that looked "new" when I went home. I have clothes that look like I just bought it ( but its over 4 years old)...I wasnt going to even wear it. I was tempted to call people out on the fact they are wearing their xmas presents...but Id rather drink. |

Dressing nice and wearing xmas clothes is different. ( I understand your "for the most part") Most of the time I can wear my "nice" gear and not look like Im trying to look good. During xmas time...it really stands out that you're trying to look good. Especially when its after xmas, you can totally tell that they are wearing gifts.
What bugs me most is the Uggs (or mukluks) on VERY hot girls.....they dont even look as hot...I think they lose points even. These girl dont even see it....call it comfortable ( easy way out)....its not even cute/hot. Shoes work fine, Im in socal...its not even cold enough to use the excuse of function. Oh no, its cold! Its 65 degrees out...shut up! BURN'EM! |

If you're a dude...you need to be punched!
If you're a girl...good pick! Save your $80+, its not cute at all...and as a guy...peeling off those things after a long day leads to dry heaving. Its not cold enough to "need" boots like that in socal, even if you're traveling back east. You will be fine in regular shoes. |

Well yeah, half the thread was about the xmas thing, the other half about the dressing well on planes thing. |
