OMG, I didn't mention my favourite book of all time!!

God's Debris - A Thought Expirement by Scott Adams

If you are religious, you MAY find this offensive (if you get offended easily,) but this book is absolutely brilliant. I suggest anyone who is into philosophy, or is willing to consider things from a totally different viewpoint to read this.

In fact, I might read it a third time :D

are we talking about the Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams??

still to get the new one - Phantom... actually might go get it tomorrow.

shhh i'm a dork at heart so - finishing 1984 and Shadowfall (Godslayed Chronicles - Clemens).

just started Children of Armagedon by Brooks.

so Phantom is next on my list.

I am in the midst of reading Chainfire at the moment. I just got to the part where Nicci rides into the encampment with her dress down, and she kills brother Kronos and brother Byron. Richard JUST left Altur'ang to go find Kahlan with Cara.

I am also reading (and not really enjoying,) "Getting Things Done" by David Allen.

And seriously, that God's Debris book is really awesome. I REALLY suggest reading it, and if you do, please get in touch because I would LOVE to talk about it :D

I am reading the Terry Goodkind series. They are found in the "fantasy" section of the book store, and they include everything from war (actually the entire series is based on a huge war), romance, rape, murder, witches, dominatrix', evil mind controllers, a hero, etc.etc.

REALLY good books. I am on the 10th of the series of 13 (if you include the prequel).

They are incredibly long/large books, so it takes time to get through them, but they are DEFINITELY the kind of books you have a hard time putting down. I have spent many a night fighting off sleep trying to read them. I've woken up with the light on and the book on my chest a few times too.

Seriously, REALLY worth the investment. The first one is "Wizard's First Rule".

And it isn't a "chick" book. It was a guy who initially suggested the book to me, and since then I have talked to 4 other GUYS who are reading the series too.

Terry Goodkind Website

yes! I have all the Terry Goodkind books, and they are REALLY awesome. The Wizard's First Rule is still one of my all time favourite books. Totally epic.

Good taste Theresa :tongue2

For Sci-Fi, I would say go for William Gibson. Neuromancer is pretty ing good (and considered a highly influential book for other things, such as the matrix, which basically rip off a bunch of ideas from this book).
