...or is "extended set" the new buzz word in toronto (maybe even the world). seems like everybody is spinning "extended" sets when all they are, are regular 3-4 hour sets, which hardly classifies as extended. in my opinion, to label a set as an "extended set", a DJ should be spinning AT LEAST 7 hours. Unless you're Paul Oakenfold. For him 3 hours would be extended.

extended to me should be 6+ hours. |

| i'll agree that a set over 5hrs is an "extended set" 4 hours is expected for a headliner unless it's a event with liek 10 dj's and one room |

in true Montreal style however an 'extended set' is at least a 12hr set!
... ooh and BEWAAARE - DT does not like his sets to be labelled 'marathon' sets cos that's just simply unacceptable. :wtf: |

as of past year or so the norm has become 3 hours for a regular set. in my opinion anything over 5 hours can be labeled as an extended set. what Danny T or C & C do is extra extended lolz.
Ferry at LoL 06 is a prime example of what an " extended " set should be.
its a way of attracting the crowd for clubs and promoters. purely money related. |
