usually when I remix a pop song the first thing I look for is one that has vocals that are easily isolated, like acoustic songs or bands with really prominent singers. a human drummer will always ruin a remix, and if its acoustic then its easier because you dont have to perfectly match it.
other than that the only thing that matters is the tempo. as long as it sounds alright sped up/slowed down and the vocals can be isolated you have yourself a remix. |
