I hear sooo many good songs out there that I want to remix but I can never get the parts for it. Sure I can probably find a midi but I can never find acapellas. How do you guys do it you figure out the scale make your own timbre or what. I just wish I had the right parts to work with you know...

What i really wanna try and remix is Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around. I really like that tune but I guess i dont know how to properly remix a song.

usually when I remix a pop song the first thing I look for is one that has vocals that are easily isolated, like acoustic songs or bands with really prominent singers. a human drummer will always ruin a remix, and if its acoustic then its easier because you dont have to perfectly match it.

other than that the only thing that matters is the tempo. as long as it sounds alright sped up/slowed down and the vocals can be isolated you have yourself a remix.

i think it's a common thing to feel like you can make a good remix out of pop songs.
