The show will feature Maracatu Nunce Antes, some real Samba from Batucata Carioca, some horny accompaniment here and there from Rich Underhill (and whoever else brings a horn along). This is big year end party and the vibe will be really casual and energized. As always, the atmosphere is pretty non-judgemental and supportive so that the dancing is easy.
If it matters to you, this show will be the last for Raphael (the band leader) for a while as he's heading out of province in the new year.
$5 gets you in. Show starts around 9:30. Lula lounge is a couple
blocks west of Dufferin on Dundas on the south side. |
