Sure it's possible, but like Kadmony said the end result wouldn't necessarily be human. Maybe more humanoid?

Technically, I think it would work. It's just a matter of breaking down whatever material we put in our body to use for energy and how the organs use the molecules to generate energy. All it would really come down to is the organs adjusting the chemical reaction in order to accomodate whatever molecules it's using at the starting point.

But would the fact that we are so very "carbon based" limit the ability of our organs to cope with other sources of energy? What are the limits that some carbon based can withstand, in other words? Food for thought.
