I have both and i agree with Zewad on the fact that the edm stations are better on xm. Xm 80 the move is great for dj sets and on the weekend after 11 the shows usually are really good.I find myself listening to this channel most and ilisten to Zoltar quite ofter,For sports its great if you like baseball. On sirius area 33 plays about 2 to 3 good tracks an hour and alot of filler. Boombox plays breaks nu skool and the occasional decent mash up,i usually find myself listening to the old school rap channel. Worth buying if you are a howard stern or nfl fan

XM.. well, since AOL streams the XM channels and from what I hear its pretty good. The deep blue show is great, and their new Chill out channel its pretty decent too. Yea XM its better.

sirius... i'm biased too

plus howard stern is a huge added benefit

In general sirius offers better programming than XM. Howard Stern, NFL games, NBA, and Nascar next year, not that it would matter to me but I do enjoy listening to Howard everyday in the morning. As far as EDM, Area 33 is probably the best channel on sirius which plays a mix of house & trance. You also have 34 and 36 which plays breaks and party 93.1 music. If you are looking for all around programming I would go with sirius but for better EDM take XM.

i think sirius does SEC sports...

that alone has almost drawn me to switch..

I am listening to xm radio right now, and if you love good trance, and house you will be much better off with XM, plus they have more stations. BPM and The System just kick major ass!!!!

Listening to: Victor Dinaire - Lost Episode - (THESYSTEM) XM82

i got sirius because of howard stern and the paul van dyk weekly show on area 33. it also has radio1 livefeed with all the good shows on that. theres a channel called The Beat which also plays some decent more mainstream dance music...

i've got sirius, and i've done some research about both before i went and got it, i've had it for a year now, and it gets better and better each day. they have added PVD, and in the last month OAKIE is now on it. both have 2 hour weekly shows. friday's you get 4 hours of groove radio during the day. i will say that the normal radio down time doesn't have the best of tracks and they repeat a lot. but its not as bad as it once was. and the live shows definatly make up for it. just today i've listened to swedish egil, green velvet and bad boy bill. later i'll get gabriel and dresden, oakie, george acosta and the essential selection. plus the invasion show with a special guest each time. with names like, chris lawrence, markus schulz, talla 2xlc, judge jules, robbie rivera, stonebridge, tiesto, i could keep going. but that gives you a nice good idea of who plays. and yea howard stern. xm will soon be out of business, if they don't merge i'll give them 3-4 years before they are gone.
