What also took me by surprise is that they executed him during Eid, a holy day for muslims. When I first read that they were going to execute him this weekend, I thought I made a mistake in thinking it was Eid. guess not |

You are ignoring that the fact that the entire nation, is entirely under the rule of the United States of America. The only thing the US does not control are the people...this case was a foregone conclusion, as is the failure of the American forces there, the civil unrest; and the reality that this invasion was never justified; ************ of the action of Saddam. |

I am vehemently against the death penalty in any country. I think that in today's society, we know that a sentence of Death is not a deterrent. There will always be marters after such a barbaric display from humanity.
I am truly ashamed of any human that takes pleasure in thinking himself to be judge and jury for a human life. Anyone that supports or justifies such a draconian display, must think of themself too highly.

I know it sickening that someone shot this video from their camera - but it was bound to happen! yikes, and just to clarify I didn't watch it, I clicked on the link that's in that thread and saw the stairs and him going up them and that is all! I closed it straight away!!!!!!! Just so everyone knows!
