kanzyani
nathan fake
villalobos
masiello
vath
ben sims
matt dear
three
cattaneo
stanton warriors
tiga
are some of the dj's i would genuinely like to see in 2007.
are some of the guys i genuinely would want to see. |
ben sims @ vision... what a show that would be!!!!! :sarcasm: Cattaneo is probably the only one out of those - and maybe Tiga - that would be considerable for Vision - the others would just not draw too big a crowd, and are more fitting for smaller places such as Smartbar, etc. If you are expecting to see any of the others @ Vision anytime soon, you better keep dreaming pal. :tongue3 |

i didnt mean vision specifically as a venue for all those artists, none of them would be able to fill it with the possible exception of cattaneo - my point was that those are the dj's i would actually like to see nowadays rather than the same repetitive lineups that are at vision.
those guys would definitely be better off at venues like smart-bar, sonotheque |

Ok, so finally getting my 2 cents in.....this show rocked! Like Reuben said, he played a lot of tracks I was hoping to hear. And as it was written, so it was done....when he dropped Superfly, Reuben went nuts:) Of course, when he played Air for Life, the place went nuts too. It was awesome to hear Year Zero live--that track goes off. Andy had outstanding transitions/technical savvy (yah, coming from me lol). The place was moderately crowded--definitely had room to dance and the crowd was def into it. Didn't see a lot of TAs I know, but I was also on the dance floor most of the night. All in all, one of the best live sets I have heard in a longgggggggggggg time.
PS--Reuben, ever come across your keys? |

D'oh sorry for missing Andy Moor, my initial plan was to go there late and then do afters, but bottle service & shots got the best of me.
As far as the discussion on the Vision lineup, the winter is normally not as big as the summer & there's WMC in Feb too so it looks like the lineup is based on who's been consistent in packing the place. Cattaneo was great at Crobar last time and needs to comeback soon, Spybar might be able to host some of the others mentioned..but ummmmm, we're kinda playing @ Vision in the penthouse the night of Blank & Jones so umm I hope people are coming to that and not staying home. :toothless |

he did fine - I did not hear any objectionable mixing. energy was very high for the night. he had great interaction with the crowd. you'll see it in the pix. ;p |
Sweet - I look forward to seeing them (as I do most of your pics!)
I've been told (much to my chagrin) that he's gone from appearing somewhat uncomfortable on the decks to becoming a "party animal & dancin' fool" (not my words, came from a friend of mine from Amsterdam who was a HUGE Moor production fan, but initially didn't care for his DJ'ing, and has since fallen in love with his live sets :p).
Glad to hear it - Always makes me smile when I hear stories like that :) |
