you need to listen to more music. putting Sean Tyas nr 1 shows that you are stuck with 5 different records.

What is it that people find so special about Tyas's tracks? I have listened to a bunch of samples and I just can't figure it out. Maybe the thread-starter can enlighten me.

imo, had he left it at these:

beam - on your mind (sean tyas hard dub)
aled mann - coldfusion (sean tyas remix)
mike foyle - shipwrecked (sean tyas remix with the breakdown edited out)
sander van doorn - punk'd (sean tyas remix)
carl b - the diary of jane (sean tyas rework)

..i'd think he was a good producer. but he's done so many tunes & remixes on top of it that it's taken the strength away from those ones a bit. alot of his stuff sounds WAY too samey & uninspiring like you've heard it all a million times before.. to the point where it just gets boring, regardless of how 'energetic' it's intended to be (and this is coming from someone who loves energetic uplifting trance above any other genre!!)

he should keep the fast pace to his stuff but try experimenting with different/more interesting sounds. the bassline would be a good place to start :thepirate
