Okay, just to tell you, I'm very very very very noob on djing and producing. So plz no flame. Here goes the question
Whenever I listen to ASOT, whenever Armin transitions, i hear like...this wssssSSHHHHH sound, and then he starts his transitions. How did he do that? And where can you get those sounds from.
Sorry if I sound confusing, and for those who still doesn't understand, I'll try to reword it to make it sound a little more understandable.
Thanks Guys. |

It sounds like you're talking about a noise sweep. That would be coming from the record, not from anything the DJ does.
When Armin DJs, all he is doing is playing pre-recorded tracks, not actually making any sounds himself.
Do you want to start producing? |

| yes, I do. But in this rate of my knowledge in it, I don't think I'm going to be making any choons for a while, lol. |

Add a little phaser, filter it up and you're good to go. |

Hey don't worry! Just get a sequencer and start playing around. I started out using FL Studio and I went through the tutorial (getting started guide). You can get a free demo and play around with it as much as you want. It's fun and pretty easy for a beginner. It's also becoming a sequencer you can grow into. Getting more deep and feature-rich in recent versions.

Have fun. Do it for yourself. You won't sound like a pro right from the start but you'll be glad you took the time to learn it.
Peace out. Hit me up on MSN if you have any other questions. Or send me a PM. |

| I could e wrong but Doesnt armin use ableton live these days? In which case he would just tap the play button on his prebounced "whitenoise" loop. He could have produced any number of these before the show. That would be the logical way to do it. |

Best avatar ever award for Mr. Michael.
Whitenoise! Albino 3! LFO on filter cutoff! Hot!
That's what I do anyway. But I am an Albino humper, I love that VSTi |
