First of all, happy new yeard everyone :) I wish you all the best and a lot of succes !
Ok so as many of you might know, I ended up at the Silver yesterday for New Years Eve. It was my first "rave event" for New Years Eye and I was really satisfied :) The last time I went at an underground/rave event was for Jon O'Bir on June 31rst, so it has been a long time.
At 11h30, my friends and I arrived into the dance room. King Louis was already rocking the place and 10minutes after my arrival, Wizz took the control of the turntables. Since I missed the whole set of Louis, I can't tell if I liked it or not, but the last 2 songs were very good. :)
Wizz's set was really good. It was the first time I hear this DJ, and I've known he's been a big Trance DJ of Montreal. Many of people were calling his set cheesy, but hey it's Trance so...I really enjoyed his whole set and he played many great songs I hear on ASOT each weeks. It was nice to hear and feel these songs :) Also, the Zacuba (I probably mispell the name, but the guys with the tam-tam) were very good !
When Airwave showed up, I didn't know what to expect. According to his productions and remixes, it had to be a Trance set, and it was hehe. Once again, since I'm the official Trancy Elf here, I really enjoyed his set. Maybe not as much as Wizz, but Airwave was very good. I heard nice old school songs remixed and produced by Airwave. I listened to his first 2h30 and then took a break with my friends. Our break was way too long, when we came back, Insomnia was on the table.
Genevieve's set was really good too. First time I ever see and listen to any of her set, but I knew it would be Trance also, wouhou ! Great banging songs and no too cheesy I would say. Too bad you spinned for only an hour, it was great ! :)
Now, one of the most awaited guy of the night, M.Preach. Last time I saw one of his set was at BeB on last April and I left 15min after he started, because we wered too tired. Anyway, Preach's set totally killed me yesterday ! First track : Control Freak, remixed by Sander Van Doorn... , that was awesome ! First 20-30minutes of his set was Trance/Hard to make the move to Techno. At 6h00am, Techno/Hard was all over the place and it was banging. We left around 7h00am, because we were tired, but the 1h30 set I listened I was really satisfied !
So we missed Nick because we left before...too bad you played at 8h30 man, I wish I was there :(
I didn't notice any TAs yesterday. I wasn't really expecting to see one anyway. Overall it was a very great night and it was way worth the 60$. Big shout out for the fruits and the bar, I liked the idea !
Did anyone remember hearing an alarm at the end of Control Freak and during the whole other song ? I was near the front right speakers and there was an alarm somewhere behind it but I couldn't see what was it...
When Preach was playing, I noticed Genevieve standing on the stage and she seemed in pain (I'm not kidding). By the time I got there, I lost her she was already gone. Anyone knows if she was ok ?!? She seemed to have a big headache...
I'll post 3 videos I made with my Nokia 6275i cellphone within few minutes :)

im sure the night was awsome, it was pretty early and was getting very busy

Got in around 11:30, no line to get in which was good, the only thing I didn't like was there was NO place to sit at all.
Now for the Dj's, as I got in Wizz was playing through the countdown and had a pretty good set going on. One thing I have to say is when he dropped Lethal Industry, omg the place went insane. I was able to capture it with my phone, and it really showed how crazy the party was.
Airwave had a pretty banging set, didnt recognize many toons, but it it was pumpin. By the time Insomnia got on, I was a little tired of the trance and was dieing to see Preach.
Now for the reason I came to silver, Preach got on around 5:30. The first song he played, that S.O.S. remix, holy christ when that kick hit I knew his set was gonna be banging.
Only stayed for another 1h 30 cuz I was dead at that point, but overall the party was sick. Saw allllllllot of cracked out going on.
And did anyone see when security rushed to the back of the main room, and when they came back, someone was carrying a girl completely passed the out? Heh.... |

Great Organization!!! Dj's lineup was awesome. I had a great time finishing the party and play after Preach.
Even if the weather was really , it was very nicely crowd!! |
