I am an entrepreneur that has an idea for a program. I will need a programmer in the near future to write the software for me. The program will be called "Fundamentals 1.0" and is a fundamental analysis program used to help investors of the stock market make accurate valuations of individual companies. I already have the basic functions of what I want the program to do.
What I need:
1. Estimation of price.
i. I am extremely cash strapped, so take this into account.
ii. I just need a rough estimate.
2. What is needed for the programmer?
3. What should I look for in a good programmer?
After I get this little project drafted, I can then hire a programmer to develop the software. I have the basic template of algorithms for calculating the valuations which is an Microsoft excel workbook, but I want to turn it into a sell-able program.
Anyone interested should reply in this thread. I can show you the algorithm template for making the calculations, and see what you think.. |

patent it cuz its easy, and then post a requirements doc because without knowing on what platform (web, personal PC, server side with real time stats, etc....) and what exactly its doing (data mining, parsing, needle in haystack, or just number crunching) we cant even know what language to go in. Is it interactive, is there a database, personalized reports?
You might need a centralized server for some of these things. Client Side java script might be a pain in the ass for real time stuff . if its just research, ....
make sure we cant steal it (patent) then be more specific. |

Orbax, thanks. I just searched the US patent office, and will have to search through all the legal crap to find which patent i even have to apply for. I'll also type up a requirements doc, probably by the end of the week. |

If you are strapped for cash, don't bother looking into a US Patent... |
