This is a fun 50min house set I put together in honor of the new year. Recorded on New Year's day, the energy I'm trying to convey is one of a progressive nature marking the greatness that we all hope 2007 will bring with all kinds of great new DJ and studio technology. Hope you all enjoy, cheers!

didn't really like the first few tracks, other than those great stuff track selection wise.
mixing was decent overall. one mix didn't sound so hot at around 22 minutes. dunno if it wasn't in key or if was slightly off. some mixes had a little bit too much bass going on in them too i think and some tracks were louder than others (watch the gains/levels ;)). but overall a nice mix i'd say. :) |

hey skip, well thanks so much for the constructive criticism, glad to have honest opinions around here, it can only help me for future mixes! anyways the mix around 22min i thought it was pretty solid, but perhaps the beats werent matched 100% is that it? in any case i kept the mix a little bit on the bassy side in order to cover the conflicts i found since each kick on the tracks were almost entirely different. the first couple of tracks are slightly on the over-played side but considering that the webtraffic i get is mostly the non-trainspotter kind i tried to use "grabbers" to keep people listening to the mix. thanks so much for listening and the constructive criticism once again!

sorry for taking so long to reply, i've been hella busy lately. anyway i think the beats are maybe a bit off around the 22min mark or then the beats are too different and don't really go well together. dunno which one it is though.  |
