I heard Insomnia 3 times at the zone

The "3-song rule" means it's time to go home...

Once you've heard the same song, 3 times - you've been at the club too long and it's time to go home.

well I was only there for a big chunk in the middle, walked in to Peter Presta spinning (overall he was too slow for me and not as dirty as the zone demands but he played some fun tunes like "Our House, in the middle of our Street"

Nathan played a druggy, more soundscape of set to follow Presta. Crowd ate it up... really created more of a (from what I felt LOST) vibe after Presta.

HOWEVER (don't tell Nathan) the set for me goes to Carlo today. Just hammered that place. Bravo.

(haha this is going to have to be put into a review thread, or I bet this gets put on lockdown because of me putting a review in here)

I had a very good time at The Zone on New Year's Day. The best sets were played by Joee Cons and Nathan Barato. I wasn't too impressed by Peter Presta. He started off well, but the tribal got a boring and felt like it was just prodding on after about 30 minutes into his set.

As far as the party and vibe goes, I agree with Nada that the Zone lacked that crazyness that I love until Nathan started. I think the hype of the crazyness of New Year's Day was a bit overhyped. I've definately had crazier days at the Zone.

One suggestion I have for next year is maybe having different music upstairs. I felt every time that I went upstairs, the music had the same sound as the music downstairs. It would have been nice to hear a little bit more variety.

That rule is not in effect on NYD because we needed to hear it three times before we knew for sure that it was "the song of the day"
