Hey, ive just joind here, ive been listening to trance for about a year and a half now, and ever since i added the "composer" coloum to windows media player, ive found some strange discoverys with the tracks on my albums....

It seems that it dosnt matter what the track says the artist is, its the COMPOSER that counts, and therefore my whole mental labeling of trance and electronic artists has been messed up big time, for example, i found out that Ferry corsten is System F, now im going on wikipedia and trawling through my albums on my pc to try and find out exactly who did what, i mean, TIESTO is T. verwest, and T.verwest is GOURELLA! and veracocha was ferry corsten, or was it system f? and its things like that that get me....its got to the point that i fell i dont know what im listening to anymore...

Maby i should just enjoy the music but i cant help it, i had the same problem with M.I.K.E and push a while ago, a bit confusing but i thaught that was as far as it went, and im also realising that songs that i thaught were made by one composer, turn out to be composed by over 5! lol
anyway has anyone else been faced with the same dilemma as me?

and another thing ive noticed is i seem to like ferry corsten ferry much lol, carte blanche and out of the blue are 2 of my favorite tracks, but now i have to always remember that they were made by the same person,
its the same for some other tracks aswell, i noticed similaritys in tracks before, and now that i can go back, i realise its the same bloomin guy who did both but for some reason chaned his name lol.

This is why you should always pay attention to the inlay.

Well aliases are sometimes used because of a bias against an artist.
Whirloop
Also some labels doesn't want certain names to be associated with other labels.
