Once again pre-sale tickets are selling like crazy. Only $10 to see the man, the myth, the Acosta legend this Friday night. Get your tickets while you still can!!!

After having recently wrecked Hollywood hot-club Reds during his swing through Los Angeles, Miami trance genius George Acosta is now continuing his road trip rabble-rousing at The Lizard Lounge in Dallas, Texas on Friday, March 2nd. As his press-handlers declare, quite grandiosely: “Welcome to Total Acostanation.” What this means precisely is somewhat open for interpretation, but it at least partially involves all attendees being pummeled with high-end, uber-modern trance music from nine PM until four AM. Is this how you like to spend your Friday nights? If so, odds are you've already bought your ticket (or several). If not, then…well, good luck. The rest of you: come get accosted.

Some folks – probably very cool ones – call George Acosta the “Trance Conductor.” It sounds like the name of a super hero. Or a piece of electrical hardware. Both are awesome. But Acosta earned the moniker from his prolific work behind the decks, busting out crowd-riling hypno-trance on a non-stop basis from his perch at the Shadow Lounge in Miami, a place often dubbed the “Trance Temple.” See a trend here? The man is a sound system-wrecking machine, and the Shadow Lounge is his chief throne. He rules his kingdom with a “trance fist.” Get it?

In Acosta's eyes, the Shadow Lounge is a medium through which he can “communicate peace and love to all.” Lofty visions, true, but not necessarily inaccurate ones. After all, his unique sound and charisma have vaulted him to the pinnacle of Miami's dance scene, and made Miami a forerunner in the race to trance musical evolution – rivaled only by Europe's premier clubs of creativity. Of his home zone, Acosta says: “When I play the [Shadow] Lounge, I feel like I am at home. I look down to the dance floor and I see my people, they understand me. Every time I step up to the turntables at Shadow Lounge it's like The Matrix. I can't describe what happens I just want it to stay.” You will have similar feelings after beholding his moves at The Lizard Lounge.
