Me too. I had a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, the key board works like a charm, but the mouse would just randomly scroll the page down crazy fast. I went out and bought a Microsoft USB mouse, and it works beautifully.

I have one of those as well, and I honestly love it. I have no complaints at all. It's the best mouse I have ever purchased.

the best mice are from logitech. if you dont want to spend a lot, get a MX510 or a MX518. The comfort is great and u get all the buttons that you need.

btw, dont get wireless mice.

^ ya, logitech all the way. i've had the mx300 for the past 2 years. simple, comfy, cheap and no problems.

Based on your needs you described... don't get a mouse that still uses a ball, and get one with at least 4 buttons to make web browsing so much easier and faster.
